Mikuláš je pre mňa odteraz jediný deň v roku, kedy sa stretne Yoda a Darth Vader a mám z toho radosť! :)

St. Nicolaus day (the 6th of December), is a lovely day we celebrate in Slovakia. The good ones (kids) are getting sweets and tangerines and peanuts and the bad ones get potatoes, rocks and ash. From now on, St. Nicolaus day is the day, when Yoda meets Darth Vader to achieve goodness (in your tummy) :)

I had a day with nothing "real" to do, so I decided to add some home feeling to my home. Decorated it with lights & ink pools for candles. Burning candles is a very Swedish way to keep your spirits up in the winter, when the sun goes down early. I even made Lussebullar/Lussekat, a lovely Swedish saffron buns & took pictures while I was doing them, so the recipe will come, too. Have a great weekend! Im off to Uppsala for Sofie´s birthay :)

Ahh and today it snowed for the first time :)

Dnes som nemala žiadne skutočné povinnosti (yes!), tak som si urobila pekný deň doma. Dala som si do okien svetielka a sviečky - čo je mimochodom švédska obsesia, chránia chránime sa tým proti zimnému smútku. Hrala som sa tušom. Napiekla som aj skvelé Lusebullar/Lusekatt, vynikajúce šafránové pečivo. Počas pečenia som si aj fotila, takže mám síce celé tepláky od kysnutého cesta, ale aspoň bude recept :) Dúfam, že ste mali bohatého Mikuláša a čaká vás pekný víkend, ja sa chystám do Uppsala osláviť narodeniny so Sofie. :)
