The Gradient Skies: Färgfabriken

It all started with me exploring the job opportunities and online search for galleries to maybe try and get an internship in one of them (having high hopes is the essence!). Well, after some (relatively short!) search, I found about 50 galleries, one of which is Färgfabriken.
I was extremely enthusiastic about this location and their premises. The gallery is on the Liljeholmen peninsula, surrounded by more-less degenerated industrial buildings.
Färgfabriken was reconstructed in 2011 by Gipparkitektur. It is a very wise move to go and visit the gallery on a sunny day, as the premises work with the light beautifully. The bottom floor is a home to beautiful bistro, the 1st floor is where the exhibitions take place and the top floor is sometimes used for conferences et cetera.

Všetko o začalo tým, že som si minulý týždeň začala preskúmavať polo-úväzkové pracovné možnosti. Tak som sa začala obzerať po galériách a stážach (vysoké ciele sú základ, hahahah). Počas tohto relatívne krátkeho prieskumu som našla asi 50 galérií, ale jedna z nich (Färgfabriken) ma zaujala viac ako ostatné, tak keď bolo v sobotu pekne slnečno a teplo (10 stupňov už sa dá považovať za teplo?), boli sme tam pozrieť.
Galéria je na poloostrove Liljeholmen, obklopená starými fabrikami v rôznom štádiu rozkladu.
Färgfabriken v roku 2011 zrekonštruovalo štúdio Gippakitektur. Vhodné je sem ísť, keď je slnečno, lebo priestor vnútri krásne narába so svetlom, hlavne teda vďaka bielym stenám, obrovským oknám po stranách a veľkému oknu na strope vrchného poschodia. Na prízemí je krásne biele bistro a vonku pekné sedenie, na prvom poschodí sú výstavy a na druhom je priestor pre občasné konferencie.

The current exhibition in the main room was od David Molander, the winner of Beckers Art Award 2014. David Molaner´s technique has unified digital photo- and film collages and animation interactively. There were static picture displays, as well as projections. During the weekend, there was a Kamarmusikensembeln orchestra concert of two newly composed works by Kevin Volans. The orchestra was scattered around the space and the music acompanied the exhibition experience brilliantly.

Aktuálna výstava v hlavnej miestnosti bola výstavou víťaza ceny Beckers Art za rok 2014 Davida Molanera. Vo svojej tvorbe interaktívne kombinuje digitálnu fotografiu, koláž a animáciu. V priestore boli vystavené statické veľkoformátové fotky a videoprojekcie na štruktúrované steny. Počas tohto víkendu navyše v galérii koncertoval skladateľ Kevin Volans s orchestrom Kamarmusikensembeln. Orchester bol rozmiestnený v priestore v troch skupinách. Hudba doplnila celý zážitok skvele.
